About Asphalt Paving Palm Bay

Asphalt Paving Palm Bay paves and maintains driveways, parking areas and private drives across Palm Bay and the rest of South Brevard, from West Melbourne and Malabar down to Micco and Sebastian. Our work covers new driveways, conversions from shell or dirt, resurfacing, sealcoating, pothole and crack repair, commercial lots and striping.

Two things shape asphalt work around here more than anything else: sand and water. Much of the ground is the flat, sandy soil of the Florida flatwoods, and soils like Myakka, Florida's state soil, can hold the water table within 18 inches of the surface for months at a time. Palm Bay also gets roughly 55 inches of rain in a typical year, and the bulk of it lands between June and September. A driveway that is built on a weak base, or that blocks the swale, fails quickly in those conditions.

That is why the first thing we study on any property is the soil and the runoff. Where does water leave your property? Is there a culvert under the apron, and is it clear? Where does the yard stay wet after a storm? Those answers decide how deep the base goes, how the driveway is graded and whether anything at the street has to change before we pave.

How a job runs

  • A visit to measure, photograph and check drainage
  • A written quote with removal, base, asphalt, edges and extras priced separately
  • The city or county asked about right-of-way needs for your specific lot
  • Paving on dry days, with the base compacted before any asphalt goes down
  • Clear instructions on when to drive on it and when to seal it

You pay for the work you approved. If something unexpected turns up, like a crushed culvert or buried debris, we stop and show you before doing anything that changes the price.
